The Story
A Border That Counts
Tarz sets a maroon-and-cream check at its centre, then frames it with a striped border fine enough to read almost like a ruled edge, a formal finish for an otherwise playful pattern.
Wool holds the maroon densely, giving the checks a weight that a lighter fibre wouldn't carry. The border is woven, not sewn: it's part of the same continuous piece as the field.

Wool, woven over 5 to 6 weeks at our Jaipur atelier. Tones may drift subtly across a piece. That drift is the maker's handwriting, and it deepens beautifully with years of light.
- Do not brush or scrub the rug.
- Only vacuum clean it periodically. Avoid using the vacuum's beater brush mode.
- If spills occur, blot immediately. Do not rub the stain.
- Rotate occasionally to equalize wear.
- Use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening and piling.
- If a thread comes loose, do not pull the yarn. Trim it with scissors instead.
- Periodic professional cleaning is recommended.
