The short version
- Most Paashè rugs are woven after you order. Those can't be returned, but every rug carries a five-year craftsmanship warranty.
- Ready pieces, already woven, can be returned or exchanged within 14 days of arrival.
- Commissions are quoted before a single knot is tied, and the quote holds.
- Delivery is free anywhere in India. International duties are shown up front.
- If something goes wrong, write to hello@paashe.in. A founder reads every dispute.
About these terms
These terms apply when you use paashe.in, book a consultation, commission a rug or buy one from Paashè, a rug studio in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. “Paashè”, “we” and “us” mean the studio; “you” means the person using the website or buying from us.
By placing an order or confirming a commission, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. The version on this page when you order is the one that applies to that order.
Our rugs
Every Paashè rug is made by hand in India, from natural fibres, at our Jaipur atelier. There are two kinds of piece:
- Made-to-order pieces are woven after you order. This includes every design from our collection in the size and colourway you choose, every custom size, and every commission.
- Ready pieces are already woven and ready to dispatch. We'll always tell you before you pay if a piece is ready.
Handmade, not identical
Because each rug is made by hand from natural fibres, small variations in size, pile height and tone are part of the piece. Tones can drift subtly across a rug and between batches of yarn, and colours on a screen never exactly match the fibre in your room. Some shedding in the first weeks is natural and settles. These are the maker's signature, not defects.
Consultations
Your first consultation is complimentary, at our Jaipur studio, over video, or in your home in Jaipur and Delhi NCR. Choosing a format, space and moment on our website sends us a request. It becomes a booking when we confirm it with you, usually within a few hours. A consultation places you under no obligation to buy.
The atelier also welcomes visits by appointment.
Commissions
- Your quote. Each commission is quoted individually. Fibre, density and size set the price. We quote before a single knot is tied, and the quote holds.
- Swatches. Physical swatches are dispatched within 48 hours, so you can feel the fibre before you commit.
- Design and approval. Until you approve the final artwork, everything stays open: colour, scale, pattern and fibre. Once the loom begins, a change means beginning again, and we'll quote it as a new piece.
- Paying in two parts. You can pay half to begin the loom and the balance before dispatch.
- One design, one room. A commissioned design is drawn for your room and is never resold or reused.
- Timing. The design conversation usually takes one to two weeks and the weaving three to five. Most rooms meet their rug within two months. These are honest estimates, not guaranteed dates.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in Indian rupees (INR). Any applicable taxes are shown at checkout.
- Standard sizes are priced on each piece's page. Custom sizes and commissions are quoted individually.
- We accept cards, UPI, net banking and international bank transfers.
- GST invoices are available for business clients on request.
- Interior designers can ask us about trade pricing.
- If a price is shown wrongly because of an error, we'll contact you before your order goes ahead, and you can cancel it for a full refund.
Delivery
- Where. We deliver across India and internationally to most countries.
- Cost. Delivery is free anywhere in India. International delivery charges and customs duties vary by country and are shown in your quote or at checkout before you pay, never discovered at the door.
- When. Ready pieces leave the studio within 3–5 working days. Made-to-order pieces dispatch the week the loom releases them. The delivery estimate on each piece's page is our honest estimate, not a guaranteed date.
- How. Every rug travels rolled around a core, never folded, in breathable cotton and a weatherproof outer wrap.
- Questions. Write to hello@paashe.in or call the number on your dispatch note. We answer delivery questions the same day.
If your rug arrives damaged, tell us as soon as you can, with photographs of the rug and its packaging, and we'll make it right.
Cancellations
- Ready pieces can be cancelled any time before dispatch, for a full refund.
- Commissions and other made-to-order pieces can be cancelled before the loom begins.
Returns and exchanges
Ready pieces can be returned or exchanged within 14 days of arrival, counted from the day the rug reaches you, not the day it ships. The rug must be unused, unwashed and in its original packing. Write to hello@paashe.in to arrange it.
Made-to-order pieces and commissions are woven for you alone and cannot be returned or exchanged. The craftsmanship warranty below covers them instead.
Refunds go back to your original payment method within 7–10 working days.
None of this affects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 if a rug is defective or not as described.
Craftsmanship warranty
Every Paashè rug is covered for five years against manufacturing defects.
- Covered: unravelling, seam failure and backing separation.
- Not covered: normal wear, sun-softening, moisture damage, and the gentle change of tone that is a natural fibre's way of growing old.
- It stays with the rug. If you gift or pass your rug on, the warranty goes with it.
To make a claim, write to hello@paashe.in with photographs of the problem and your order details, and we'll make it right. Living With Your Rug explains how to keep it looking its best.
Using this website
The designs, photographs and words on paashe.in belong to Paashè. You're welcome to share links and images of our rugs with credit, but please don't copy, reproduce or sell our designs or content without our written permission.
We may update pieces, prices and content on the website at any time. Changes don't affect orders we've already confirmed.
Our responsibility to you
We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to take reasonable care. Our total responsibility for any order is limited to the price you paid for it, except where the law doesn't allow that limit. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Indian law.
If something goes wrong
Write to hello@paashe.in. A founder reads every dispute personally. In ten years of weaving, tea has resolved more than clauses.
If we still can't agree, these terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan, have jurisdiction.
