The Story
Scattered, Not Random
Saaz reads as scattered (small squares of navy, olive and dusty blue set loosely across a cream ground), but the placement follows a repeat, worked out at the loom before the first row is thrown.
It's the most colour-dense piece in the wool line, and the hardest to weave cleanly: every small square is its own colour change, which means far more starts and stops per row than a striped or bordered piece.

Made to soften, deepen, and stay.
Wool, woven over 5 to 6 weeks at our Jaipur atelier. Tones may drift subtly across a piece. That drift is the maker's handwriting, and it deepens beautifully with years of light.
- Do not brush or scrub the rug.
- Only vacuum clean it periodically. Avoid using the vacuum's beater brush mode.
- If spills occur, blot immediately. Do not rub the stain.
- Rotate occasionally to equalize wear.
- Use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening and piling.
- If a thread comes loose, do not pull the yarn. Trim it with scissors instead.
- Periodic professional cleaning is recommended.
