Riwayat Rug
"Arctic against wan blue: a cold palette, woven warm underfoot."
The Story
A Cold Palette, Woven Warm
Riwayat takes its name from riwayat, meaning tradition or telling, and holds to the wool dhurrie's plainest form: two related blues, arctic and wan, laid in the same flat weave as the rest of the collection.
It's the coolest palette in the wool line, closer to ice than sky, chosen to sit quietly under furniture rather than announce itself from the doorway.

Living with it
Made to soften, deepen, and stay.
Wool, woven over 5 to 6 weeks at our Jaipur atelier. Tones may drift subtly across a piece. That drift is the maker's handwriting, and it deepens beautifully with years of light.
- Do not brush or scrub the rug.
- Only vacuum clean it periodically. Avoid using the vacuum's beater brush mode.
- If spills occur, blot immediately. Do not rub the stain.
- Rotate occasionally to equalize wear.
- Use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening and piling.
- If a thread comes loose, do not pull the yarn. Trim it with scissors instead.
- Periodic professional cleaning is recommended.
Every Paashè piece can be re-coloured, resized, or redrawn for your room: palette, proportions, pile height, even the pattern's density. Nothing here is catalogued twice; your version becomes its own original.

- Delivery estimate: 6 to 8 weeks.
