The Story
A Field, Gridded
Morii is woven deep: a saturated burgundy ground, divided into an even grid by a fine ivory line that runs dotted rather than solid, like stitching left visible on purpose.
Getting that grid to sit perfectly square across a full-size rug takes a steady hand at the loom; a single row out of alignment throws the whole pattern out of true. It's checked, row by row, as it's woven.

Jute, woven over 3 to 4 weeks at our Jaipur atelier. Tones may drift subtly across a piece. That drift is the maker's handwriting, and it deepens beautifully with years of light.
- Do not brush or scrub the rug.
- Only vacuum clean it periodically. Avoid using the vacuum's beater brush mode.
- If spills occur, blot immediately. Do not rub the stain.
- Rotate occasionally to equalize wear.
- Use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening and piling.
- If a thread comes loose, do not pull the yarn. Trim it with scissors instead.
- Periodic professional cleaning is recommended.
