The Story
Ruled by Hand
Maati keeps its palette almost entirely natural, the jute and wool left in their own colour, and lets a fine charcoal pinstripe do all the drawing, ruled into a loose, hand-spaced grid across the field.
Because the grid is woven rather than printed, no two lines fall exactly the same distance apart. Up close it reads as a hand-ruled page; from across the room, it reads as a single quiet texture.

Jute & Wool Blend, woven over 4 to 5 weeks at our Jaipur atelier. Tones may drift subtly across a piece. That drift is the maker's handwriting, and it deepens beautifully with years of light.
- Do not brush or scrub the rug.
- Only vacuum clean it periodically. Avoid using the vacuum's beater brush mode.
- If spills occur, blot immediately. Do not rub the stain.
- Rotate occasionally to equalize wear.
- Use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening and piling.
- If a thread comes loose, do not pull the yarn. Trim it with scissors instead.
- Periodic professional cleaning is recommended.
