The Story

Kiwaad is woven in broad horizontal fields, camel giving way to ivory and ivory to camel again, with nothing to soften the seam between them. The jute is left raw at the ends, braided into a loose fringe rather than bound flat.
It's a simple loom setup, but an unforgiving one: every colour change has to land exactly on the same warp thread, row after row, or the stripe drifts. At the Jaipur atelier, that precision is done entirely by eye.

Made to soften, deepen, and stay.
Jute, woven over 3 to 4 weeks at our Jaipur atelier. Tones may drift subtly across a piece. That drift is the maker's handwriting, and it deepens beautifully with years of light.
- Do not brush or scrub the rug.
- Only vacuum clean it periodically. Avoid using the vacuum's beater brush mode.
- If spills occur, blot immediately. Do not rub the stain.
- Rotate occasionally to equalize wear.
- Use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening and piling.
- If a thread comes loose, do not pull the yarn. Trim it with scissors instead.
- Periodic professional cleaning is recommended.
